Here\u2019s what I did:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Design the Profile:<\/strong> I defined a simple profile shape designed to cover the main surfaces of the crank arm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Print to Scale:<\/strong> Using my trusty little Epson inkjet printer, I printed the profile to the <strong>exact scale<\/strong> required for my crank arms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Transfer and Cut:<\/strong> I carefully transferred the printed profile onto a sheet of <strong>transparent adhesive film<\/strong> (the kind used for bike frame protection).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Application:<\/strong> After cutting out the shape, I applied the transparent protector to the crank arm.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The result is a quick, aesthetic, and barely noticeable layer of protection that keeps the carbon safe and sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/phmedas.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Artboard-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"541\" height=\"158\" src=\"https:\/\/phmedas.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Artboard-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-577\" srcset=\"https:\/\/phmedas.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Artboard-2.png 541w, https:\/\/phmedas.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Artboard-2-300x88.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 541px) 100vw, 541px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">172.5 protector profil<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Confirmed Base Length<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The profile provided is defined and verified for a <strong>base crank arm length of 172.5mm<\/strong>. Gravel riding exposes the cranks to more direct hits from loose debris.
